The State Bar of California licensee record is the lock. Julia Blau Spiegel, No. 292469. Admitted December 3, 2013. Status: Active. Law school: Yale Law School, New Haven. The CalBar page later lists the employer as GovAct and the website as www.GovActAlliance.org. That is a public license, not a private dossier.

Yale Law School’s 2014–15 fellowship biographies name “Julia Spiegel ’13” and say she “currently serves as a law clerk to Hon. M. Margaret McKeown of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.” The Ninth Circuit’s own appellate-lawyer-representative biography, last updated August 25, 2026, repeats the McKeown clerkship. Stanford Lawyer magazine, writing about the Santa Clara sanctuary case, identifies her as BA ’06. Official bios add a Princeton M.P.A. or M.P.P. from the School of Public and International Affairs. Titles and degrees as the sources print them. Not a crime.
